When I photograph your wedding or your family playing at the park I know that you have hired me to capture the mood, the feeling and excitement of the day. The true spirit of the child shines through in each photo. My hope is that when you look back at the photographs that I have captured they will not only take your breath away, but also help you to relive those moments and memories. I look forward to capturing a glimpse of your life!
That is not a photograph of me that you see on the left. I wish it was, but you see, I hate to have my photo taken. I like to be behind the camera, not in front of it. Until I find a suitable picture of myself you can look at that lady and say "wow, that Jane sure is beautiful"!
I have been neglecting my blog for way too long. Enjoying my family and taking some much needed time to myself. I plan to post some photos from my boys busy ski season soon, but until then here’s Anna. I met her big sister Sophia earlier this fall and Sophia has the same beautiful hair as her mom. Can’t wait to see who Anna will look like. So far she is just as content and easy to be around as her big sister.
I just met the nicest family. When I arrived I was greeted at the door by the cutest drawing and inscription that read ” welcom evry won”. The house smelled of fresh baked Christmas cookies and H still had red sprinkles on her lips. The perfect lipstick for a 6 year old! Even though the snowflakes started to fly during our session the kids did not make a fuss. They continued to have fun and coax their cat into the photos. We ended the session with cookies and hot chocolate. I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon. Here are a just few photos from our session.
At 15 months these two are so much fun. They are always running, smiling and exploring. Did I say running? I have always been amazed by their mom, she looks fabulous, so slim even just months after these two were born. Now I know why, she is busy running after these two all day long! Here’s to you Tania, and your beautiful kids.

We are so lucky to have people in our lives that love our boys like their own. Meghan and Kevin are two of those people. I was nervous when Meghan asked me to photograph her wedding. I wanted everything to be perfect, every picture to be a work of art. Although Canmore was covered in 4 inches of snow and it was so cold you could see your own breath, Meghan was an absolutely beautiful bride who took it all in stride. She thought of every detail, right down to her fabulous blue suede shoes! She made it very easy to capture some great shots. Kevin you were great too! I know they are anxious to see some photos so here are just a few. More to come….
I love this shot. This is one of my boys with the jr bridesmaid. They are both only 10 and not even thinking about the opposite sex yet, but this photo sure looks like they enjoy each others company. This is their first ever conversation. hmmm…
Angelina and Jose lucked out. Their September wedding was held on the last weekend of good weather. Who knew that 6 days later it would be snowing in Calgary. Besides the great weather, September 26th is also my wedding anniversary so it was a lucky day all around!
I photographed Shannon and Kevin’s wedding a few years ago. Shannon was one of the most organized brides I had ever met and she was nice enough to refer me to photograph Janice and Len’s wedding earlier this summer. Shannon and I got to talking at Janice’s wedding and we set a date for some family photographs. It is fabulous to see the couples I photograph becoming families. Shannon and Kevin truly enjoy being parents. The love they showed for Alex was overwhelming. I can’t wait for them to see these photographs. 
I photographed these twins as newborns and it amazed me how they already had their own unique personalities. Now that they are almost 7 months those unique personalities are even more noticeable. They are both adorable and very content. Trying to make them both smile at the same time was quite a challenge though. Dancing, funny faces and even animal noises were attempted. Luckily they loved to hear their mom sing!
This post is long overdue, sorry Stephanie. I spent the morning with Stephanie and her family at their beautiful home in Bragg Creek. The kids made full use of the swings, sandbox, woods and a great rock for jumping. Here are a few candid shots from my visit. Isn’t the littlest one just so adorable?!
T and his mom picked the hottest day of the year to have their photo’s taken. He has the bluest eyes and a great imagination. He kept us entertained with talk of spys, aliens and of course Spiderman. It looks like T is dreaming of a cool dip in the river in this first shot. Not a bad idea!
