I love this photo. It is beautiful and true to the sweet and innocent moments of being a toddler. Touching, smelling and exploring everything. So many new experiences. So much to learn….
Sweet and Innocent – Calgary Children Photography – glimpse photographic
Small World – Calgary Family Photographer – glimpse photographic
Laurie contacted me after her close friends recommended me. We quickly discovered that Laurie worked with my next door neighbour. During our session Laurie started asking me where I was from because she thought that she recognized me and definitely knew my voice. Well, was she ever right! We met as kids a number of times in London, Ontario. Both of us have changed our names and now live in Calgary, so strange that we would meet again now. I won’t say how long ago that was, but wow, what a memory she has to remember my voice!
Now back to the session. Her little girl is so sweet and wow are those eyes ever beautiful. Absolutely huge and with such a fabulous sparkle. Laurie here’s to London, Biggs and sweet Libby.

Thomas and His Train – Family Photographer in Calgary – glimpse photographic
This sweet little guy loves Thomas the train. Luckily he also loved being swung in the air by his dad and helping play the guitar. I’m glad someone else was around to sing. My singing could scare away dogs! His dad on the other hand had a great voice and it easily captured everyone’s attention. As you can see this mom is pregnant. With twins no less! They didn’t want the typical belly photos. So what they got was a family photo shoot where the mom happened to be pregnant. Here are just a few photos that we captured.

Pucker up- Calgary Newborn Photography – glimpse photographic
There is something so precious about a babies lips. I love it when babies or kids pout that bottom lip. It is a beautiful sight. Do you remember the photographs of Dawn the natural beauty in the forest? This is her gorgeous baby girl. So sweet and angelic, especially when they are sleeping!

A Real Connection – Calgary Photographer – glimpse photographic
In the dictionary under the words 16 years it should read, particular. Particular about what you wear, how your hair looks and the list goes on and on. These two may not like the way their eyes are squinting or how their noses are wrinkled, but I believe there is nothing more beautiful. They look gorgeous. A true connection between people is a beautiful site. To have a photo like this of siblings or even better twins is something to be treasured. They may not like it now, but years from now I hope they look back on this time in their lives and remember all the laughs they had together.

Same wall different look – Calgary Children’s photographer -glimpse photographic
Anyone that is from a family of 5 knows what I mean when I talk about the middle child. A bit more dramatic, but so much fun. We have three boys and we definitely have a middle child. Fairness seems to always be on his mind. He is also the first to notice that I got a pedicure or ask how my day was. He is so lovable. This family is no different. M is spunky, fun and a wee bit more work! I love the glint in his eye and that mischievous look. I can’t stop looking at the first photo, it makes me laugh out loud. I didn’t ask him to do that, he just did. So funny…

Ok, ok just one more! – Calgary Family Photographer – glimpse photographic
I just could not resist taking “just one more shot” of this fun family. They were being silly and probably even making fun of me saying the same thing again and again. The result is photos of teens enjoying their parents. No small feat! I loved seeing the girls work together to create the best photos possible. They were respectful and truly seemed to enjoy their parents. My boys are not teenagers yet, but when they are I hope they enjoy my husband and I as much as these girls enjoyed their parents. Michelle, the pointe shoes and tutu’s are beautiful as are your girls.

Natural Beauty – Calgary Maternity Photography – Glimpse Photographic
This is my second time photographing Dawn and it still amazes me how natural she is in front of the camera. She is one of the most beautiful pregnant women that I have ever seen. She is definitely glowing! I was so excited to download these photos because I knew that we had captured some beautiful and unique photos. Dawn, I hope that you see what I do and love the different looks that we created.

A Day in the Life of 2010 – Glimpse Photographic – family photography
2010 was a year of big changes. Some that I took a while to accept and others I just went with. I don’t like change, generally speaking. I fight it, especially big things that I can’t foresee the outcome. That is scary for me. Some may call it controlling. Well those people are probably right. I like to predict and plan for things to come. This year I struggled with not knowing what to expect. It took until December for me to finally let go and accept the changes and actually believe that the path that we are on is for the best. It took a few weeks of hanging with family, playing games and enjoying the beach to see the light. The beach… my place where everything is good. I am feeling so lucky to have what I have. Fabulous friends and family that bring laughter and joy to my life every single day. My boys, all 4 of them, unique, beautiful and so, so wonderful, you drive me crazy, but keep me sane.
Here are some of my favorite pics of my life from 2010. They aren’t award winners, but they bring back some great memories from the last year. Every one of them except the first one is candid and natural. My boys hate to pose, but love it when I capture them in action. The first one is of my boys, doing what we do best. Hanging out after a game of uno and goofing off at the pool. The fact that it is taken in Provence, France sweetens the memory. What could be better?! Happy New Year! J

The above photo is the not the best, but I still love it. Coop is so passionate about swimming. He has come so far, he is so fast. We are so proud of him.

My sister 50 and so fabulous!

Love the connection here despite the 1000's of others sharing the space!

It amazes me that everywhere you go people in France are reading. Even the homeless!
Beautiful Boy – Glimpse Photographic – Children’s Photographer
The main purpose of this shoot was to capture a photograph of a family. Sister’s and brothers with thier kids, but I could not resist capturing this little guy all alone. 18 months is a great age. Busy, busy, running and moving non-stop. He tripped and fell and lucky for me sat for just a moment. Isn’t he just beautiful…..
