I just could not resist taking “just one more shot” of this fun family. They were being silly and probably even making fun of me saying the same thing again and again. The result is photos of teens enjoying their parents. No small feat! I loved seeing the girls work together to create the best photos possible. They were respectful and truly seemed to enjoy their parents. My boys are not teenagers yet, but when they are I hope they enjoy my husband and I as much as these girls enjoyed their parents. Michelle, the pointe shoes and tutu’s are beautiful as are your girls.

I love it when my customers buy a package that includes three sessions. I get to see the kids grow and change. The best part is that I get to know the families. I love chatting with my clients about life and being a parent. The worst part is that when the 3 sessions are over I am always left wanting more. I feel like I am losing touch with friends. This family is so great. We have had so many laughs over the last year. Trying to entertain these two sweet little girls. Usually we end up laughing more than the kids do. My friend and photographer Erika and I spent a great day with Ian and Erin. These two are so beautiful and up for anything. Willing to fight off the mosquitoes, tall grasses and have some fun with the cricket players. Erin has more spunk than anyone I have met in quite a while. She is a teacher and I can only imagine how much her students love her. Some on them were even at the wedding, if that does not show admiration I don’t know what does. She loves to pose and who could blame her, no matter what she does she looks gorgeous.

I always enjoy hanging out with the guys before a wedding. Guys never seem to worry about some woman they don’t know hanging around. They just do what they would do if I was not there, laugh and tell stories of all the crazy things they have done together. Thanks, Ian and the guys for making me feel right at home! Jon, what a genuine guy. So sweet and a newlywed himself. His wife was in the wedding party too. They could not stop showing the love, and I could not help, but capture a few of them.

If you follow this blog you know how much I love curls. Maybe it has something to do with my husband and his fabulous curly hair! Here is J, his great smile and curls, at nap time no less.

We are so lucky to have people in our lives that love our boys like their own. Meghan and Kevin are two of those people. I was nervous when Meghan asked me to photograph her wedding. I wanted everything to be perfect, every picture to be a work of art. Although Canmore was covered in 4 inches of snow and it was so cold you could see your own breath, Meghan was an absolutely beautiful bride who took it all in stride. She thought of every detail, right down to her fabulous blue suede shoes! She made it very easy to capture some great shots. Kevin you were great too! I know they are anxious to see some photos so here are just a few. More to come….

I love this shot. This is one of my boys with the jr bridesmaid. They are both only 10 and not even thinking about the opposite sex yet, but this photo sure looks like they enjoy each others company. This is their first ever conversation. hmmm…

Angelina and Jose lucked out. Their September wedding was held on the last weekend of good weather. Who knew that 6 days later it would be snowing in Calgary. Besides the great weather, September 26th is also my wedding anniversary so it was a lucky day all around!

T and his mom picked the hottest day of the year to have their photo’s taken. He has the bluest eyes and a great imagination. He kept us entertained with talk of spys, aliens and of course Spiderman. It looks like T is dreaming of a cool dip in the river in this first shot. Not a bad idea!
